DOW-UAP-D025, Mission Report, Greece, January 2024
This document is a standardized U.S. military Mission Report (MISREP) covering an ISR mission conducted by the 33rd Special Operations Squadron under USCENTCOM/AFSOC on 25 January 2024. The aircraft took off from LGLR at 0109Z and, at 0509Z, an operator observed one UAP while in transit over the Mediterranean Sea. Per the GENTEXT/UAP narrative, the object was flying at approximately 434 knots (499 mph), appeared 'round diamond shape' with a straight, non-maneuvering probe or 'tail' at the bottom, and was only visible on the aircraft's Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) camera. The event lasted roughly two minutes, ending at 0511Z with no further incident. The observer assessed the UAP as 'benign,' reported no maneuvering, no effects on persons or equipment, no interrogation or engagement, and no materials recovered; propulsion and intelligent control were logged as unknown. The releasing agency notes all descriptive language reflects the reporter's subjective interpretation and should not be read as conclusive about the object's features or performance. The report was declassified 24 October 2025 by MG Richard A. Harrison, USCENTCOM Chief of Staff, and approved for release to AARO.
