DOW-UAP-D065, Mission Report, Arabian Gulf, July 2020
This document is a standardized U.S. Military Mission Report (MISREP), number 4472514, recording a reconnaissance mission in support of NAVCENT in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman on 16–17 July 2020. The aircraft took off from OKAS at 0443Z on 16 July, conducted ISR scans to establish patterns of life and characterize vessel and UAS activity, and landed back at OKAS at 0200Z on 17 July after roughly 20–21 hours of mission time. During the sortie the operator reported observing three separate Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena via full-motion video (FMV): at 1830Z, 1920Z, and 2345Z on 16 July. The report also records a professional guard call received at 0615Z and observations of maritime vessels near Bushehr Port. Origination is attributed to the 482d Attack Squadron under the 432d Air Expeditionary Wing, with tasking through the 609th Air Operations Center under USCENTCOM/ACC. The releasing agency notes that all descriptive and estimative language reflects the reporter's subjective interpretation at the time and should not be treated as conclusive about the presence or absence of any object features or performance characteristics. The document is heavily redacted under classification exemptions and was approved for release to AARO.
