FBI-UAP-D014, Correspondence Relating to UFO Sightings, 1967, 1974

According to the releasing agency, this FBI file (FBI-UAP-D014) contains two pieces of correspondence. The first, dated September 22, 1967, relays an incident described by an eleven-year-old child who heard a 'weird' noise and saw a 'flash of light.' The second is a September 30, 1974 letter from Mr. Larry Bryant of Arlington, Virginia to the FBI Special Agent in Charge in Chicago, and the FBI's October 10, 1974 response, concerning an 'alleged April 8, 1954 sighting of an occupied unidentified flying object.' Bryant sought copies of any FBI follow-up documentation and UFO case files covering 1954. The FBI's reply indicated it held no record of such an event and, circa 1974, did not collect information regarding UFO sightings. The file was released July 10, 2026 as part of the Department of War UAP disclosure (release 4).
