P. V. HOVIELL, Chief, Counter Intelligence, 20th OSI, advised as follows,

GAIL PJOClK, Pas.c o, W~sh., Ph.one Pasco 6054, supervisor of a local ground
observer group at pasco, reported sighting two half-l!loon shaped objects· about
six t,imes as large as a hall' moon. One obj.ect f'.Qrmed: into a large ftuf-e.-balJ, the
original color of· both objects was whi·t e, and tbe ' other formed into two fireballs.
Both objects were estimated to be. at about 1000 feet altitu.de. T.he distance
could not be estimated. The objtfcts •~u~e bath at. a f'i:v-e degree ~ngle l>rom Tihe
line of sight of the observer. •The location was · slightly north of Paacoo
The location has been pinpointed ·on the Aeronical, planning m.e.p at grid coordinate
AB 5517. They were obsei'ved for ·a period df . ten·- : minut-eer. .
The Intelligenee Office:r, 25~1.l- Air Divis,ion is not going to subnr~t a
written report, however he will .tollow· this ·ve-r bal report up with a letter t -o
this office. He has not made a report to the press and it i's assumed that they
received their information from 1·ocal sources•
