Atmospheric Wake - South Asian Object (Sensor #2)

This silent infrared video, released by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), was captured by an MQ-9 forward-looking infrared video sensor over South Asia while it was recording another MQ-9. The footage shows a distant unified aerial object moving steadily across the sky with an apparent trailing wake or cavitation. According to AARO, after analysis of the full motion video, inclusion of additional footage with a longer focal length, and analysis of commercial flight data in the region, the office assesses that the object is likely a commercial aircraft and that the trailing cavitation is a sensor artifact resultant of video compression. This file is designated 'Sensor #2' and is part of AARO's Atmospheric Wakes case resolution.
