CIA Memorandum on Responsibilities for Non-Conventional [Satellite] Matters

This document, released through the CIA's electronic reading room (CREST/FOIA), is an internal memorandum whose text has been substantially corrupted by optical character recognition of a poor-quality scan. Legible fragments indicate the subject concerns 'responsibilities for Non-Conventional' matters and the 'definition or allocation of satellite[?] responsibilities in regard to the subject matter.' The memo appears to conclude that 'no special action is required at this time' regarding these responsibilities. A signature block references CIA officer Sidney M. Graybeal (noted as ASD) and routing to offices such as OPS/SI. Because the great majority of the extracted text is illegible OCR noise, the precise subject, date, and full context cannot be reliably determined from the available content.
